In Bug Squashers!
First off, thanks so much for being a part of this project and helping us track down and eliminate as many bugs as we can. If you're here to report a bug, please first do a quick search of this forum to see if it's already been reported. If it has, feel free to let us know in that post that you're also experiencing this problem. If the bug you're reporting hasn't yet been reported, go ahead and make a new post telling us exactly what the issue is. If possible, try to include the following: 1) What computer and operating system were you playing on? 1) How did you trigger the bug? 2) Is the bug repeatable? 3) How serious was the bug? (Did it create problems with the audio or visuals? Did it crash the entire game?) The more specific you can be, the better!

In Demo Troubleshooting
The following are some known issues running the Project Paradise Demo version on Mac OS Big Sur (Version 11). If you're having a different problem with your demo copy on Big Sur, please post here. ISSUE: When attempting to start progam, a system error is triggered: “You do not have permission to open the application”. This is a common issue with many programs attempting to run on Big Sur. You can read more on Apple's official support page here. SOLUTION 1: First, confirm that permission settings for the game are correct. To do this, right click on the game program and select “Get Info”. At the bottom of this window, make sure that next to your user name you have the “Privilege” option set to “Read & Write”. Then, try right clicking the application and then selecting "Open". SOLUTION 2: If that still doesn't work, open up Mac's Terminal program (Applications > Utilities > Terminal). Enter the following text exactly as you see it here: sudo chmod -R 777 Once this text is entered exactly as above (with a single space at the end), drag and drop the Project Paradise Demo program from wherever you have it stored on your computer into the Terminal program. (This will add the file path of the game and manually give your computer the permission to open it) Next, hit enter. You will be prompted for your user password. Once entered, this will give you permission to open the file. SOLUTION 3: If you're still getting the permissions error, try updating your version of Big Sur. Do this by clicking the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then clicking "About this Mac". In the box that appears, click on "Software Update..." ISSUE: When trying to launch the game, an system error appears: "Project Paradise Demo" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified." This is a common error when running any app downloaded from the internet (rather than downloading from the official App Store). You can find more information at Apple's support website here. NOTE: Always be careful running software from unknown sources on your computer! To allow your Mac to open the game, try this: SOLUTION 1: Simply right click the program, then select "Open". SOLUTION 2: Go to your Security & Privacy settings (click the Apple icon in the top left of your toolbar, then click "System Preferences", then "Security & Privacy") Next, click on the “General” tab at the top of the Security & Privacy panel. At the bottom of the window, you will see the notification: “ “Project Paradise Demo” was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer.” Click on “Open Anyway”. ISSUE: When attempting to start the program, the error shows: ""Project Paradise Demo" would like to receive keystrokes from any application." This is a known issue for Big Sur, and is a result of Apple wanting to discourage third-party software being installed on their computers. Further documentation can be found on the error on their official support page here. To bypass this error, click on "Open System Preferences", then "Security & Privacy". Then, give Project Paradise access by clicking on the "Privacy" Tab, scrolling down to "Input Monitoring" in the left panel, and then adding "Project Paradise Demo" to the list of apps on the right.

While we'd love to hear from each and every one of you, setting ground rules for a forum like this is always a good idea. Here are a few things we'd like you to keep in mind when commenting here on our forums. 1) Be respectful This should go without saying, but sometimes things written out don't come across the same way as they would in person. That said, be polite and courteous when responding to other posters. 2) Search before posting Before posting a game-related question or suggestion, do a quick search on our forums to see if the issue has already been raised. In some cases, we may close threads and link them to other threads that have already covered the topics being discussed. 3) Keep the conversation on topic While we recognize that our users come from varied backgrounds and cultures and are likely eager to share their hobbies and interests with one another, we kindly ask that non game-related conversations are held somewhere else. We are not looking to create a social hub for general conversation. 4) Posting questionable content will earn you a warning and in some cases, an outright ban We reserve the right to judge when a user has crossed the line and will issue warnings and bans accordingly. Obviously, anything NSFW (not safe for work, including anything sexual/pornographic, drug related, illegal, etc) will be immediately removed. We will also ban users who post links to or discuss things we feel cross the line into apostasy. (Again, keep on topic!) That's all for now! We look forward to hearing from you all!
