Hello there! Still not too much to report. Both Jason and myself have recently received some new theocratic assignments which are taking up much of our time. Unfortunately the game development, which was always just a hobby for us, is not taking much priority in our lives with everything else going on...

Hi there! Yes, we have been extremely busy with other life/theocratic stuff. I'm currently enrolled in a training program and Jason is attending pioneer school. He also just moved recently, so we've both been too busy to focus much on the game, although we are still chipping away at it bit by bit. We will post as soon as we have something substantial!

Thanks for this feedback. This is the first time using the space bar was specifically mentioned, but it was something we considered early on when designing the control scheme. Our goal for this is to make it as simple as possible for most players, including those who've never experienced a game like this on computer before. So we tried to limit the number of inputs as much as possible. Also, regarding tool switching: originally the UI was exactly as you described. There was no tool-switching and you could simply interact with more things as you collected new tools. However, we quickly discovered that this watered down the gameplay quite a bit, since players could just repeatedly tap the "S" button to discover everything there was to interact with, removing the element of problem-solving and exploration. Also, later on in the game, some objects can be interacted with in different ways using different tools, so a one-size-fits-all interact button wouldn't work.

Yeah, "Easter egg" isn't a good look. Perhaps "secret" is best?

Hi Jim! As @Dages mentioned, the bike mission cannot be completed in the demo. (Not making this clear was our mistake, and we've heard a lot of feedback about it!) Our apologies. Glad you enjoyed meeting Otto!

Hey Dave, we really appreciate these, keep them coming if you find any more. I actually thought we'd already addressed the condition in the video (what happens if you collapse before building the tent), and I thought the solution had been implemented, but it looks like it wasn't. We'll be sure to fix it!

Haha thank you for this! It has been a very unique challenge trying to account for every possible exhaustion/collapse scenario!

We talked about it, but it would be spreading ourselves too thin at this point. We want to get working on the final version of the game now. Once we get close to releasing and have all of the text finalized, we'll talk about localization/translation!

@Ryan Flowers Thanks so much for wanting to support this project guys. However, when Jason and I first laid out the plans for this game, we determined that we would not charge anything for the demo. We also don't feel great about asking for donations at this point, since there is no way to guarantee how long this project will last. We have some other ideas about generating a bit of revenue to help us cover our costs so far (like hosting this website), but we probably won't be going the Paypal donation/Patreon route. Thank you again though, it's so kind of you all!

Hi Dave! Thanks for your speedrun. As you discovered, there's really no way to finish any earlier, since some of the in-game triggers (Carl's arrival, delivery of axe, etc), require a night to pass to activate. Glad you liked what little we've teased of the story. This is an important part of the game and I'm glad you found it enticing rather than irritating! :P

No, not even close. This is just a teaser of some of the mechanics, characters, and locations we plan to develop for the full game. We made this to determine interest, and clearly the interest is there, so now we move forward in earnest!
