I loved it very much ! No bug, no crash. It's sooo nice ! It's very much what I expected. I can't wait to see more !
Spoiler :
I could not find the second pedal to finish the bicycle. Grrrr hahaha.
Wait, you found most components? Maybe I should go back and look a bit better ^.^ I also loved the demo a lot. So nice to play and loved all the little details. I kept watching the moving trees as well.
Yeah, I found all the components but one... :D
Awesome guys! So actually, the final bike part is visible in the demo, but you won't be able to get to it just yet. (Can you find it?) It'll definitely be a feature in the full game, of course!
My brothers. Wow.
First, it is crystal clear that this is a labor of love. If I had to guess, you guys grew up playing Sierra games on 386's and 486's. You really did good. I realize this is just a demo, but I am genuinely interested to see where this goes. I love the NPC's and how they drive the story.
Also I love that it played perfectly on my very modest laptop. The background music was great, the graphics were excellent, and I have very little to say except "wow", "thank you" and "I can't wait until it's released!
On a personal note, I so badly wish my wife Cinnamon, who was so excited to see this come to fruition, was here to see this. I can't wait to tell her about it when she awakens in the resurrection ❤️
Ryan, thanks so much for this. I was so heartbroken to hear about Cinnamon, I would've loved to hear her feedback and suggestions! Can't wait to meet you guys in person on the other side!
(English: Mishael, thank you so much for your kind comment. We are so happy that you enjoyed our game enough to leave this feedback for us! We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but comments like this really motivate us to keep working hard on it!)
So I played through the beginning of the game, it was pretty good. But what I wanted to know is whether it is possible to complete the game from the beginning to the end right now or does the demo only contain the beginning of the story?
No, not even close. This is just a teaser of some of the mechanics, characters, and locations we plan to develop for the full game. We made this to determine interest, and clearly the interest is there, so now we move forward in earnest!
If you exhaust all of the options in the Demo, it gives you a message explaining that you've completed the Demo. There's far more of the story to be told, I am sure!
Having played through the demo as thoroughly as I could, I moved on to trying to race through the demo as fast as possible. After hustling from point to point through the first three days and returning to my tent before 3:00 p.m., I turned in especially early on Thursday.
Three-and-a-quarter hours through Friday I made it to the trailer park.
The characters are all likable. While I enjoy "completing" an adventure, I'm really curious about the history of the town, and I was anxious to learn more about what the folks in the trailer park were rallying together for. On that, kudos for programming the demo to finish with a cliffhanger at the most absolutely perfect moment.
Hi Dave! Thanks for your speedrun. As you discovered, there's really no way to finish any earlier, since some of the in-game triggers (Carl's arrival, delivery of axe, etc), require a night to pass to activate.
Glad you liked what little we've teased of the story. This is an important part of the game and I'm glad you found it enticing rather than irritating! :P
In Clyde's letter, he says he will be coming in a month. I ran the game through day 33, and never saw any sign of Clyde. Is that because he is not in the demo version?
Well, I’m hardly a prolific video gamer, so there was definitely a learning curve, but after asking a question or two of my husband I managed to get this thing figured out.
I left feedback via the form, but realized that was probably anonymous. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the demo and also that I am really, really looking forward to the full game. I can totally see why people get hooked on video games (but don’t tell my husband I said that)!
As a novice, I probably could have used a few more prompts on what to do in a given scenario, but it isn’t a big deal. In the meantime, I am going to practice more in preparation. The demo is great for poking around and not worrying about messing up your game.
Thanks again for such an intriguing game. You left us with a great cliffhanger!
Yay! This made me smile! Can't wait for you to play the whole game!
